ICCROM organizes and co-ordinates research to encourage critical thinking
across a range of cultural heritage issues and to strengthen
interdisciplinary research.
The Conservation Research Group was created in
2005 with the aim of strengthening ICCROM's ability to fulfil its
statutory function of coordination, stimulation and dissemination of research.
The Conservation Research Group organizes interdisciplinary activities,
covering both the sciences and the humanities, in technical and other
related fields. It acts as a catalyst for conservation professionals to
explore wider themes and to engage with diverse audiences.
