Meeting: group photo Sharing Conservation Decisions

A course design meeting for the '2006 Sharing Conservation Decisions Course' was held at ICCROM on 23 May, with the participation of the partner institutions: Istituto Centrale per il Restauro di Roma (ICR), Opificio delle Pietre Dure di Firenze (OPD), Scuola di Alta Formazione Venaria di Torino. A representative of the Herculaneum Conservation Project was also present.

Mounir Bouchenaki, ICCROM Director-General, opened the meeting and expressed a wish to strengthen collaboration between ICCROM and Italian institutions.

The aim of the course, to be held in October-November 2006, in Rome, Italy, is to offer an opportunity to professionals to share and build upon their experiences and approaches in conservation decisions. The objective of this meeting was to finalize the course programme and identify possible case studies offered by Italian partner institutions.
