On 14 September, ATHAR Programme held a meeting at ICCROM with its main partners. Present were: Dr Abdel-Razzq Moaz, Vice Minister of the Culture of Syria, Mr Frédéric Husseini, Director General of Antiquities of Lebanon, Catherine Antomarchi, Director of Collections Unit, and Zaki Aslan, Coordinator, ATHAR Programme.

Programme activities for 2006-2007 were discussed, including the preparation of the upcoming course on Documentation and Management of Archaeological Sites. The meeting also included discussions on national needs, institutional collaboration, funding and future perspectives of the programme.

The group also met on 16 September with Dr Fawwaz al- Khrayshah, Director of Antiquities of Jordan to finalize programme plans.
