| ICCROM 72nd Council meeting in Rome
The ICCROM Council met in Rome from 13-18 November for its 72nd ordinary session.
The first two days were dedicated to a thorough discussion on governance, with the participation of a Canadian facilitator.
During the rest of the week, the Council Members had the opportunity to discuss the generous offer by the Italian authorities of new premises for ICCROM.
Members also visited the proposed premises which are located in part of the Convent of San Francesco a Ripa, on the via di San Michele, the same road as ICCROM's current headquarters.
Several points of the agenda, including the Progress Report on the Implementation of the Programme for the Biennium 2006- 2007 and the Draft Programme and Budget for 2008-2009, were discussed and recommendations made to the Secretariat.
The third part of the Council meeting continued in Paestum, to celebrate ICCROM's 50th Anniversary at the IXth Mediterranean Exchange for Archaeological Tourism.
