Ping Kong

 

 

New intern at ICCROM

Ms Ping Kong, urban planner from Tongii Urban Planning and Design Institute, Shanghai, People's Republic of China, has begun a four-month internship at ICCROM.

Ms Kong will focus on activities related to the Living Heritage Sites Programme and also work with the Office of the Director-General to develop joint projects between ICCROM and China.

Ms Kong holds two Masters Degrees in Urban Design and Architecture from China and Singapore, and is currently a PhD candidate at TUDelft (Technische Universiteit Delft) in the Netherlands.

Her thesis is on 'Social Sustainable Development in the Process of Living Heritage Conservation'. Ms Kong aims to create guidelines for conservation of social activities within the context of living heritage.
