On 22 March, a reception was held to say farewell to two members of the ICCROM staff: Kazuhiko Nishi and Cécile Lacroix.

Kazuhiko Nishi has been on a two-year secondment to ICCROM from the Government of Japan. While at ICCROM, he has worked on several projects related to the Asia-Pacific Region such as a pilot project in Phrae, Thailand within the Living Heritage Sites programme; and a Field School in Hanoi, Viet Nam, within the context of the Asian Academy, a partnership with the UNESCO Bangkok Office and universities throughout the Asia Pacific Region. He is returning to his work in Japan at the Agency for Cultural Affairs.

Cécile Lacroix has been working for the past two years in the Office of the Director-General where she carried out a wide range of administrative duties. Her commitment and professional approach to her work will be missed by all her colleagues. Cécile is moving to Madrid with her husband, David, and daughter, Lola.
