The second edition of 'Introducing Young People to Heritage Site Management and Protection: A Practical Guide for Secondary School Teachers in the Arab Region' is now available.

This publication is intended to raise awareness of the conservation of cultural heritage in the Arab Region, and focusses on conservation and management practices of historic sites and cities, underlining the threats facing cultural heritage today.

It contains information, ideas and practical activities to help teachers to introduce this theme in schools. The publication also aims to involve young people in cultural heritage protection and care. The Arabic version of the guide will also be available soon.

The guide is published by ICCROM and UNESCO in support of the ATHAR Programme.

It is available free on request to institutions and individuals engaged in raising awareness of cultural heritage issues in the Arab region.
