| Forum 2007: Privatisation and Conservation of Cultural Heritage
11 May. ICCROM has the pleasure to announce that the next ICCROM Forum will be on the topic of 'Privatisation and Conservation of Cultural Heritage' and will be held from 13 to 15 September 2007 in Catania, Sicily, Italy.
The ICCROM Forum is a biennial initiative and aims to share the latest, contemporary thinking on trends and current conservation issues which affect the management of cultural heritage.
Previous forums addressed aspects relating to living religious heritage (2003) and to cultural heritage in post-war recovery (2005).
Potential issues to be addressed at the 2007 Forum include partnerships for sustainability, international cooperation, and local development. It is hoped that the forum will result in a final declaration as a recommendation on privatisation in conservation.
The event is supported by the Italian Regional Administration of Sicily and the Foundation of the Bank of Sicily under the auspices of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO.
