13 December. The International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM) has decided to extend the deadline to 31 December 2007 for submission of abstracts for its upcoming conference in Palermo, Italy on 'Conservation: An act of Discovery'.

ICCM was established in 1977, during a meeting on mosaic conservation organized by ICCROM in Rome.

The conference is organized by Centro Regionale per la Progettazione e il Restauro -CRPR- (Regional Centre for Planning and Restoration) of the Sicilian Region, Palermo Italy and will be held from 20 to 26 October, 2008.
