5 June. Alejandra Del Rio Monges has taken up a two-month internship at ICCROM until the end of July 2007.

She has recently finished an M.Sc. in Sustainable Heritage at University College London, in which she explored the decision-making process in the refurbishment of listed buildings.

Her work experience includes museum assessment, development of sustainable environmental management strategies, stakeholder research, and significance assessment of ancient buildings.

Alejandra's internship at ICCROM will include contributions to the Built Heritage Programme and to the development of a proposal for a long-term programme for the conservation of cultural heritage in Latin America and the Caribbean.
