5 February. On 19 January, Francesco Rutelli, Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities, met with Mounir Bouchenaki, Director General of ICCROM, to discuss Italian-ICCROM relations.

During the meeting, he underlined the importance attached by Italy to cultural diplomacy, stressing his government's desire to strengthen cultural ties, particularly between all countries in the Mediterranean area.
