22 February.On 16 February, Mounir Bouchenaki, Director-General of ICCROM, took part in a one-day colloquium, organized by the Politecnico di Torino, on 'Training and professionalism for conservation, valorization and management of UNESCO World Heritage sites in Italy'.

The Rector of the Politecnico, Francesco Profumo, and the Dean of the School of Architecture, Rocco Curto, also participated. The meeting was coordinated by Tatiana Kirova, Professor, Architectural Conservation. The Director-General presented a paper on 'Training and cooperation in the conservation of cultural heritage: the experience of intergovernmental organizations.' In the afternoon, case studies and experiences of the Piemonte, Lombardia, Lazio, and Sardegna regions were illustrated and
discussed.
