29 March. The Director-General of ICCROM, Mounir Bouchenaki, participated as Honorary President of the Fourth International Encounters of Monaco and the Mediterranean from 22–24 March. 

The event, which focused on Mediterranean Maritime Heritage, took place under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, UNESCO, ICCROM, CNRS-France (Centre national de la recherche scientifique), and the Oceanography Museum of Monaco.

The Director-General gave the opening speech, as well as the synthesis during the closing ceremony. 

Mrs Elisabeth Breaud, President of the Principality of Monaco 'Connaissance des Arts' Society was also present.
