Dear participants, lecturers and friends,

ICCROM is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary and, as part of those celebrations, we are compiling a history of the organization covering its first half-century.  In particular, we would like to document the processes that led to its foundation and to its subsequent expansion into the organization it is today.

One of ICCROM’s most important roles is to serve as a medium of exchange between professionals, institutions and Member States. To capture this, we would like to invite you to contribute your personal memories and recollections about the organization. Perhaps you also have archival material, including photographs, that you would also like to send us.

We cannot guarantee that we will use all the material we receive, but all of it will form part of our archival memory here at ICCROM and be accessible to everyone. And please pass on this message to other colleagues and friends who may also wish to be part of ICCROM’s collective memory!
