18 January. On 16 January, ICCROM hosted a public lecture by Ephraim Jose, Chief Conservator of Asian Art, Honolulu Academy of Arts, on the organization of an exhibition entitled 'The Dragon's Gift: The Sacred Art of Bhutan', opening in February 2008 at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

The organization of this exhibition was a three-year project which entailed close collaboration between Bhutanese monks and scholars and exhibition staff from the Honolulu Academy. It features more than 100 objects from the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan selected for 'superior aesthetic achievement and deep religious significance'.
