12 May. ICCROM is hosting a needs assessment meeting to develop a regional strategy for the conservation of mosaics in the Mediterranean region. The meeting is organized in partnership with the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), the International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM), and ICCROM.

In recent years, despite important national and international efforts, mosaics are continuing to deteriorate, leading to the permanent loss of this extraordinary heritage. Initially, the focus will be on countries in the southern and eastern Mediterranean.

The meeting is being held with the financial support of the Getty Foundation.
