CollAsia workshop: developing appropriate skills in conservation
15 – 21 Septembre 2008
19 September. The CollAsia2010 International Workshop on 'Developing Appropriate Skills in Conservation - Educational Strategies for Life-Long Learning' has begun on 15 September 2008 in New Delhi, India with 17 participants from Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Timor-Leste, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The workshop is supported by the Getty Foundation with kind assistance from UNESCO New Delhi and Bangkok offices. The opening ceremony was also joined by a representative from UNESCO New Delhi, Ms
Moe Chiba, Programme Specialist for Culture.
This workshop aims at promoting and examining educational strategies which will benefit professional development of heritage professionals in the region while addressing the transfer of knowledge in conservation.
Member States represented: Brunei Darussalam, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam
