Funded by the APSARA National Authority and the National Authority for Preah Vihear with a generous contribution from the World Monuments Fund.
The workshop for managers and conservators working with collections in the Kingdom of Cambodia will enhance their knowledge and skills regarding the management, conservation and evaluation of collections of objects relocated - at some point in the past - from their original location (site, monument) to a location such as a depot, museum or other storage facility or collections of objects that are still on site.
The workshop will include theoretical and practical sessions in the Angkor Archaeological park and the related collections and museums. The national workshop is a preparatory activity for a regional CollAsia activity for Southeast Asian countries to take place in 2009.
