| Intern at ICCROM
11 February. Mr Ahmad Mansour, has begun an ICCROM internship working within the ATHAR programme. He is researching aspects of heritage education for professionals and public outreach and will also be working on a publication arising from the most recent ATHAR courses.
His internship forms part of a Masters Programme on 'conservation of monuments and historical sites' which he is currently pursuing at the Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation, KU Leuven, Belgium.
Between 2003 and 2006, Mr Mansour was involved with the rehabilitation and upgrading of historic areas in Cairo, and particularly with public participation in conservation work.
His interest in the ATHAR Programme stems from the fact that the programme is focused on the Arab World, with special emphasis on public outreach, and the promotion of its heritage.
