12 February. In the aftermath of the devastating fire on 10 February that has caused immeasurable damage to the Namdaemun Gate in the heart of Seoul, the Director General and staff of ICCROM extend their deepest condolences to the people and government of the Republic of Korea.

ICCROM wishes to assure its Korean colleagues and friends that it remains ready to provide assistance to those responsible for the effort to recover this important heritage.
