| ICCROM Welcomes Mr Ken Kanai
5 May. ICCROM is pleased to welcome Mr Ken Kanai who has been seconded by the government of Japan to succeed Mr Sadahiko Tanaka as a project manager for the Sites Unit.
Mr Kanai has a BSc in engineering and an MA in architecture. He comes from the National Research Institute for Cultural Properties in Nara where he has experience in both architectural and archaeological conservation.
Mr Kanai was the recipient of a Fullbright Fellowship in 2007 to study the policy and practice of historic preservation for buildings and sites in the USA and was a US/ICOMOS intern on the Hull Oakes Lumber Company Recording Project. He has also undertaken projects in Ireland, China, and Viet Nam.
