This book, the first one published in the GCI's popular Conservation and Cultural Heritage series, offers insights into the life of Nefertari; the construction, decoration, and symbolism of royal tombs; and the GCI's role in conserving and stabilizing the tomb's wall paintings. Originally published in 1996 and currently out of print, it is now available online as a PDF.

English Heritage’s new campaign will reveal how many of England’s 9,300 Conservation Areas are at risk and from what. Every Local Authority has been asked to fill in a questionnaire on the condition of their Conservation Areas. If you are worried about a proliferation of plastic windows, over-sized extensions or buildings being left derelict or even demolished, sign up to this campaign.

Campi Phlegraei is a firsthand report which documents the late eighteenth century eruptions of Mount Vesuvius. Written by Sir William Hamilton, the British envoy to the Neapolitan royal court in 1764, the work is named for the area around Naples known locally as the Campi Phlegraei or "flaming fields."
