13 February. Prof. Tarek Brik, an architect from Tunisia, is undertaking a two-month fellowship, from February to March 2009.

Tarek was trained as an architect at the Institut Techologique d'Arts, d'Architecture et d'Urbanisme (TAAUT), Tunisia, and he also has postgraduate degree from the Scuola di Specializzazione in Restauro dei Monumenti, Università 'La Sapienza', Rome. He has vast experience in teaching in universities and is currently affiliated with the Institut des Beaux Arts de Tunis (ISBAT), Université de Tunis. He has also been actively involved in the architectural heritage course of the Institut National du Patrimoine (INP) , Tunisia.

During his stay, he will carry out further his research on vernacular architecture; knowledge of materials and construction techniques of Tunisian heritage.
