Eir Grytli

 

 

Fellow at ICCROM

5 March. Prof. Eir Grytli, an architect from Norway, is undertaking a two-month fellowship, from March to April 2009.

Eir holds a PhD from the Department of Architectural History, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim. Currently, she is the Head of the Department of Architectural Design, History and Technology at the NTNU where she also lectures on building conservation.

For over ten years, she has been involved in the International Course on Wood Conservation Technology and is at present one of the course directors. The course is held in collaboration with Riksantikvaren (The Directorate for Cultural Heritage, Norway); NTNU, Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research (NIKU) and ICCROM.

During her stay, she will carry out a study on building conservation training and sustainable development.
