30 April. On 30 April, the Director-General of ICCROM, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the President of the Centro per la protezione dell’Ambiente e dei Beni Culturali dell’Ateneo “Sapienza”, Prof Luigi Campanella. Present also were Grellan Rourke, Council Member of ICCROM and Vice-Chairperson Planning, Senior Conservation Architect, Office of Public Works, Ireland; Joe King, Sites Unit Director; and Maria Teresa Jaquinta, Liaison Officer (Co-operation with Italy).

14 April. On 3 April, the Director-General, signed a collaboration agreement with the Università di Catania, in the presence of several officials from the University and the City of Catania.
