14 October. ICCROM has offered its patronage to a seminar on 'Risk evaluation for cultural heritage: a necessity or a luxury?', organized by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal.

Recent natural disasters happening worldwide have not only led to the loss of human lives, but also the irreparable damage to culture. Museums, religious places, palaces, and other cultural properties have been destroyed, leading to the significant loss of their contents as well.
