| Fellow at ICCROM
23 March. Veronica Bullock, Australian former course participant on Scientific Principles of Conservation (SPC88), is undertaking a fellowship at ICCROM until mid-June.
Ms Bullock holds degrees in prehistory/archaeology and materials conservation. She has worked for a number of large collecting institutions in Australia, including the Powerhouse Museum, the State Library of New South Wales, the Australian National Maritime Museum and the Australian War Memorial. In her recent post as Development Officer at the Collections Council of Australia she worked with representatives of archives, galleries, libraries, museums to develop strategies and projects aimed at advancing the sustainability of Australia’s collections.
While at ICCROM, Ms Bullock will carry out research on integrated collection management. She will investigate the feasibility of developing a teaching approach that integrates two core cultural heritage professional practices: curatorial assessment (significance) and conservation assessment (risk).
