| Former ICCROM Fellow receives top heritage award
9 June. The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) has chosen R. Robert Waller as the 2010 recipient
of the Carolyn Rose Award for his outstanding worldwide achievements in
the field of collection management and conservation.
Dr Waller has a Ph.D. from the Göteborg University Institute for Conservation, Sweden, and until recently was Chief of Conservation at the
Canadian Museum of Nature in Canada. He has since
started his own company, Protect Heritage Corporation. In 2006 he came to
ICCROM as a Fellow; his area of research was management and risk
assessment of cultural heritage.
The Rose Award was presented on 4 June at the Society's 25th anniversary
meeting in Ottawa, Canada. It recognizes significant contributions to the
objectives of the Society.
