| New Intern at ICCROM
21 October. Anne-Marie Viola from the United States joins ICCROM as an intern in the Archives. She will be with the organization through January 2011.
Anne-Marie is working to expand access to the ICCROM archives by helping develop a new web-based system that will enable users to browse and search its entire inventory. The focus of her evaluation is the ICA-AtoM free, open source archival description software, 'Access to Memory', based on International Council on Archives (ICA) standards.
Upon completion of her Master's in library and information science last year at Pratt Institute in New York City, Anne-Marie moved to Rome and began working with a number of foreign cultural institutes in the Unione Romana Biblioteche Scientifiche (URBS) network on various archival and library-related projects.
