Algiers, Algeria
31 May. From 25 - 26 May, the Director-General was invited to participate in the Administrative Council of the Centre National pour la Recherche Archéologique (CNRA) of Algeria.

Athens, Greece
31 May. From 12 - 14 May, the Director-General was invited to lecture on intangible aspects of archaeological heritage at the National Archaeological Museum.
He also visited the Acropolis Museum with H. E. Ertuğrul Günay, Minister of Culture and Tourism, Turkey and H.E. Pavlos Yeroulanos, Minister of Culture, Greece. When at the Acropolis, the Director-General surveyed restoration works of the Propylaia.
During his mission he also met: Mrs Maria Ioannidou, Director of Acropolis Restoration Service; H.E. Ambassador of Greece to Malta, Mr Alexandros Rallis; Prof. Dimitrios Pandermalis, Director, Acropolis Museum and Mrs Elena Korka, ICCROM Council Member. |

24 May. From 19 - 20 May, the Bureau of ICCROM Council met in Rome. The Bureau is composed of: Grellan Rourke, Chairperson of the Bureau of the Council; Stefan Simon, Vice Chairperson Administration; and Jeanne Inch, Vice Chairperson Planning. Also present at the meetings: Mounir Bouchenaki, Director General and Bruno Pisani, Manager of Finance and Administration.

11 May. On 7 May, the Director General was a speaker at the course on 'Grandi rischi e restauro del patrimonio culturale' organized by the Centro Universitario Europeo per i Beni Culturali di Ravello. |

London, United Kingdom
11 May. On 4 May, the Director General participated in a conference at the National Gallery, London, entitled 'Restitution - where now?'. The conference was chaired by Professor Jack Lohman, Director, Museum of London and organized by Farrer & Co LLP.
