27 September.  On 30 June 2010 the Director-General signed a Statement of Cooperation with the President of the Società Geografica Italiana (SGI), Prof Renato Salvatori.  On the same occasion, the Director-General was nominated, Socio Corrispondente of the SGI.

29 June. On 20 June, the Director-General attended the recognition ceremony led by the Diwan of H.M. Sultan Qaboos ibn Sa‘id, that paid tribute to ICCROM's contribution to work on the Technical Committee for the Study of Archaeological Affairs.

29 June. From 12 to 15 June, the Director General attended the Forum on Cultural Heritage and Urban Regeneration organized by the Bureau of the Shanghai World Expo. He delivered a speech on 'Cultural heritage protection in urban planning: re-use and development' and participated in a workshop on Tangible Cultural Heritage Protection: Defining the Identity of a City.

During his stay in China, the Director-General also participated in the second World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region (WHITRAP) Governing Board.

24 June. From 7 to 9 June, the Director General participated in the 19th technical session for the International Co-ordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor (CCI), Cambodia.
