31 March. Mr Ken Kanai, an architect and engineer working for the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs has just completed a two-year secondment at ICCROM. 

During his stay at ICCROM, Mr Kanai worked on the Living Heritage Sites programme and the activities of the Asian Academy for Cultural Heritage as well as contributing to ICCROM's work as an Advisory Body to the World Heritage Committee. 

Mr Kanai has gone back to the Agency for Cultural Affairs in Tokyo, and the staff of ICCROM wishes him well on his return to Japan.
