22 November. On 16 November, the Director-General, Mounir Bouchenaki met with H.E. Ertharin Cousin, Ambassador of the United States Mission to the UN Agencies in Rome.

During the meeting, Ms Cousin commended ICCROM for its activities and the results achieved in its programmes. In particular, the United States is pleased with the successful outcome of the course on First Aid to Cultural Heritage in Haiti, launched in August 2010 in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution. The success of this course will be highlighted in an event marking the first anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti, taking place in January 2011 in Rome.
