30 November. On 17 November, the Director-General, Mounir Bouchenaki and Council Member, Abdolrasool Vatandoust were received by the Vice President for Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Iran, Mr Hamid Baqaei during an official visit to Italy.

While discussing ICCROM's research and training activities, a proposal was made to hold regional courses on cultural heritage conservation in Central Asia with the support of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO), headed by Mr Baqaei.
