21 January. Ioanna Kakoulli is undertaking a fellowship at ICCROM until the end of March 2011.

A national of Cyprus, she is currently Associate Professor of Archaeological Materials Science and Conservation; Materials Science and Engineering Department with joint appointment in the UCLA/Getty Conservation Program (Cotsen Institute of Archaeology), United States.

Ioanna is a long-time collaborator with ICCROM.  She has been a resource person for the Built Heritage course and was also involved in a UCLA/ICCROM summer course on 'Diagnostic Imaging and Photo-Documentation of Archaeological and Cultural Materials' that took place in 2007.

While at ICCROM she will be conducting her research on "Ancient Painting between East and West: Materials, Techniques and Technology Transfer".
