New Intern at ICCROM
12 October. ICCROM has recently welcomed Anna Maria Kotarba-Morely from Poland, who will be carrying out an internship in Rome and in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates at the ATHAR Regional Centre. She is assisting in the preparation of the upcoming ATHAR course on Management and Conservation of Cultural Heritage: Sites and Museums Collections, which will be held in Sharjah, UAE and Doha, Qatar from 11 November to 13 December.
Ania is currently a PhD research student in Maritime Archaeology and Archaeological Science at the Oxford Centre for Maritime Archaeology, School of Archaeology, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. She also has degrees in Archaeology and in Comparative Religions from the Jagiellonian University, Poland. She is specialized in long-distance maritime trade and exchange, and studies ports and harbours located in the Indian Ocean.
For nearly a decade she has worked as a terrestrial and underwater archaeologist, as well as a heritage and museums consultant in the Arab Region, South Asia, Africa, the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Northern Europe.
