1 February. On 30 January ICCROM held a reception to honour Enrico Carra, who has retired after 30 years of service.

Enrico joined ICCROM in 1982 under the directorship of Cevat Erder, as the building maintenance technician. With the aim of streamlining some of the activities carried out within the headquarters, he identified the need to consolidate maintenance, the purchase of supplies, and the logistical organization of meetings and events in a single office.  To this end, and together with Pietro Baldi, he established the Logistics department in 1990.

Through the years, Enrico and his colleagues in Logistics have worked hard behind the scenes to ensure that courses and meetings at ICCROM are successful, and that day-to-day activities are carried out smoothly and productively. With his warm character and sense of humour, Enrico has always gone above and beyond the call of duty to find the solution to any problem.

To celebrate his career at ICCROM, a few of the staff members put on a skit, The Enrico Show, as a lighthearted and mischievous homage to our beloved colleague. Although we will miss him, we wish him all the best as he begins this new chapter of his life.
