CO-MA 2013: Safeguarding Image Collections

11 January. On October 31, a conference on management and conservation of photographic collections (CO-MA) will be held by the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (IRPA-KIK) in Brussels, Belgium.
Photographic images account for a large portion of the world's memory and are found in diverse contexts. However, many institutions that have photographic collections, such as museums, libraries, and archives, are facing problems with their management: storage, inventory, digitization, access, copyright, status, and attached values all pose concerns. This conference provides an opportunity for professionals to develop a practical and ethical framework for conserving photographic collections in different contexts.
