Workshop on instruments and methodologies for cultural heritage conservation and valorisation

22 March. From 18 to 22 March, fifteen Italian students with multidisciplinary backgrounds in architecture, archaeology, history and conservation attended an ICCROM workshop as part as a first level masters degree at the University of Urbino.

Stefano De Caro, Director-General of ICCROM, lectured at this dynamic workshop along with Sites Unit Project Manager Gamini Wijesuriya and noted conservation expert Jukka Jokilehto. Their presentations focused on a variety of subjects, including History and Theory; Survey, Diagnosis, and Materials; Planning and Development of Restoration Projects; and Valorization of Heritage. In addition to participating in lectures, the students had the opportunity to visit the ICCROM Library. The workshop closed with the presentation of the students’ individual research projects.
