14 January. ICCROM is pleased to welcome Andrea Martínez Moreno from Colombia, who will be carrying out an internship for the LATAM programme through February 2013.

Andrea is a restorer trained at the Universidad Externado de Colombia, and holds a master in anthropology from the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. She has worked in the design and implantation of projects on social appropriation, communication and promotion of cultural heritage with the Instituto Distrital de Cultura y Turismo, la Secretaría de Cultura, Recreación y Deporte, and the Instituto Distrital del Patrimonio Cultural de Bogotá. She also has developed games as support material for children.

Currently Andrea is working at the Ministry of Culture, Colombia, where she develops policies on movable cultural heritage, and at the Fundación Gavia, where she consults on management plans for monuments and public spaces and on disaster and risk management for cultural heritage. She has published several papers on cultural heritage, as well as a book about the cultural coffee landscape.

During her stay at ICCROM, Andrea will assist with activities related to the LATAM project, in particular with the development of planned course activities in the region and activities aimed at revitalizing the network.
