On 21 February, Dr
Abdel Razzaq Moaz, Vice Minister of Culture of Syria visited
ICCROM and met with Mr Richard Lindo, Director-General a.i. and
Zaki Aslan, Project Co-ordinator, ATHAR to discuss ATHAR
activities in Syria planned for 2006.

On 20 February, Prof
Zhang Tenghao, Director of the China National Institute of
Cultural Property (CNCIP) visited ICCROM and met with Mr Richard
Lindo, Director-General a.i. Prof Tenghao was particularly interested
in discussing exchange possibilities between professionals in
the CNCIP and ICCROM. |

On 17 February Dr
Carlo Callieri, President of the Fondazione per l'Arte della
Compagnia di San Paolo and Vice President of the Management Committee
of the EPA Fund visited ICCROM and met with Mr Richard Lindo,
Director-General a.i.
Dr Callieri
was attending the annual meeting of the EPA Fund Management Committee
that was chaired by Mr Richard Lindo. Also in attendance was Mr Alain Godonou, Director of EPA in Benin. |

On 8 February, Mr
Daniel Bar-Elli, Secretary General, Israel National Commission
for UNESCO met with Mr Richard Lindo, Director-General a.i. of
ICCROM, and with Joe King, Sites Unit Director. They discussed
training opportunities for Israeli nationals in the area of archaeological
conservation.
