On 31 March, Mr Mohammed Djelid, Director, UNESCO Office in Iraq, visited ICCROM and met with Mounir Bouchenaki, Director-General of ICCROM. Issues concerning the training of Iraqi specialists in the field of restoration of historic monuments were discussed. |

On 31 March, Mrs Elisabeth Breaud, President of the Principality of Monaco 'Connaissance des Arts' Society, visited ICCROM and met with Mounir Bouchenaki, Director-General of ICCROM. Preparations for the fourth International Encounters of Monaco and the Mediterranean on Mediterranean Maritime Heritage to be held in Monaco in March 2007 were reviewed. |

On 24 March, Mr Francesco Bandarin, Director, World Heritage Centre, visited ICCROM and met with Mounir Bouchenaki, Director-General of ICCROM. Discussions were held on the major programmes relating to World Heritage Sites and in particular to Jerusalem.

On 23 March, Mounir Bouchenaki, Director-General, received the visit of Dr Eugenia Bolognesi, President of the Association "Palatina-Istanbul", Turkey; and Dr David Michelmore, Counsultancy and Conservation of Historic Buildings, United Kingdom.

On 20 March, Mr Giuseppe Proietti, Head of the Dipartimento per la Ricerca, l'Innovazione e l'Organizzazione, Ministry of Culture, Italy, visited ICCROM. He met with Mounir Bouchenaki, Director-General, Bruno Pisani, Manager of Finance and Administration, and Maria Teresa Jaquinta, Italian Government Development Co-operation Co-ordinator.

On 16 March, a delegation from Chinese cultural institutions visited ICCROM to discuss further collaboration between ICCROM and China. The visitors included Mr Shan Jixiang, Director-General, State Administration of Cultural Heritage; Mrs Chen Ailan, Director, Henan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Heritage; Mr Guo Zhan, Director, World Cultural Heritage Division, State Administration of Cultural Heritage; Mr Zhang Jianxin, Director, Foreign Affairs Division, State Administration of Cultural Heritage; and Mr Tang Wei, Secretary to Mr Shan Jixiang.
The group was welcomed by the Director-General and was then joined by the following members of ICCROM's staff: Bruno Pisani, Manager of Finance and Administration; Catherine Antomarchi, Director, Collections Unit; Gamini Wijesuriya, Project Manager, Sites Unit; and Robert Killick, Publications Manager, Office of Communication and Information.

On 16 March, Mr Stefano Weinberger, Counsellor, Cultural Affairs from the Embassy of Germany in Rome paid a visit to ICCROM. Mounir Bouchenaki, Director-General of ICCROM and Bruno Pisani, Manager of Finance and Administration welcomed him.
