11 September. On 3 September, the Sunday supplement of the Italian national newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore published an article by Cinzia Dal Maso entitled 'Archeologia Bombardata'. The article includes extracts of an interview with the Director-General of ICCROM, Mounir Bouchenaki, on the safeguarding of cultural heritage, with particular reference to the situation in Iraq and Lebanon.
