ATHAR course concludes in Syria ATHAR course concludes in Syria

12 December.
The ICCROM-ALECSO course on Documentation and Management of Heritage Sites in the Arab Region concluded on 12 December, 2006 at Bosra, Syria with an official closing ceremony under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Culture, Dr. Riyadh Na'ssan Agha who was represented by Dr. Faisal Kulthoum, Governor of Dara'a.

Finnish honour for ICCROM's Katriina Simila

12 December.
Katriina Simila, Project Manager, Collections Unit, has been awarded the Cross of Merit of the Order of the Lion of Finland in recognition of her contribution to the development of the field of museum and archives conservation. The award was presented by the Finnish Ambassador to Italy, H.E. Pauli Makëlä, at a ceremony at the Ambassador's residence on 6 December.
