Devastating floods in Mexico
6 November. The floods in Southern Mexico are causing an appalling loss of life and severe destruction. The Director-General and Staff of ICCROM extend their deepest condolences to the people and government of Mexico.
ICCROM wishes to assure its friends and colleagues in Mexico that it remains ready to provide assistance to those responsible for protecting cultural heritage.

Italy reaffirms commitment to international conservation
2 November. The General Assembly of the Member States of ICCROM, which this year has received the High Patronage of the President of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano, will be held in Rome at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), between 7 and 9 November 2007. |
