On 8 April the Director-General received a visit from a group of Norwegian delegates led by Mr Jørn Holme, Director-General of the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Riksantikvaren). Also in attendance was Gamini Wijesuriya, Project Manager for the Sites Unit.

On 7 April the Director-General signed a Memorandum of Understanding at ICCROM with the Director of the Istituto Superiore per la Conservazione ed il Restauro (ISCR), Ms Gisella Capponi. Also in attendance: Bruno Pisani, Manager of Finance and Administration; Maria Teresa Jaquinta, Liaison Officer (Co-operation with Italy); Alison Heritage, Conservation Research Specialist; Gamini Wijesuriya, Project Manager for the Sites Unit; Paul Arenson, Manager of Knowledge and Communication Services; and Zaki Aslan, Manager of the ATHAR programme.

On 4 April ICCROM received a visit from a group of graduate students undertaking a Masters Conservation Studies at the University of York, United Kingdom. Presentations were given by Catherine Antomarchi, Collections Unit Director, Joseph King, Sites Unit Director, and Gamini Wijesuriya, Project Manager for the Sites Unit. The students also toured the Library.
