On 23 May Director-General, Mounir Bouchenaki received the visit of Ambassador Ugo Leone, Permanent Observer of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) to UNESCO and of Ambassador Eugenio Campo, Permanent Observer of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to ICCROM. On 17 May ICCROM received a visit from a group of students attending the Università degli Studi Roma Tre: Modulo specialistico Patrimonio culturale del Mediterraneo: dalla conoscenza allo sviluppo umano, Master di II livello in Cittadinanza europea e integrazione euromediterranea. They were accompanied by Prof Luisa Musso.

On 16 May a delegation of professionals from China visited ICCROM and met with the Director-General, Mounir Bouchenaki. The delegates included:
- Jl Erming, Director of the Division of Social Service Industry (SAC);
- Luo Jing, Deputy Director, Deptartment of Museums and Private Collections, State Administration of Cultural Heritage;
- Liu Shuguang, President of the Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage;
- Zhan Changfa, Director of the Training Centre, Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage;
- Shi Chenyan, Deputy Director, Division for Conservation Science and information, State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
They were also accompanied by Stefania Pandozy, Coordinator of the Ethnological Materials Lab, Vatican Museums. Also present: Gamini Wijesuriya, Project Manager, Site Unit.
