Rosa María Esbert Alemany Obituary

24 January. ICCROM is saddened to hear of the death of Rosa María Esbert Alemany. Rosa was a geologist, and professor of petrology and geochemistry at the University of Oviedo in Spain.

Asian Academy for Heritage Management Giorgio Torraca: culture and creativity in conservation

16 January. On 3 February, Vatican City will be the setting of a special day dedicated to Giorgio Torraca. During the event, discussions will be held on the works of this celebrated scientist and humanist, and how he was a source of inspiration for the future of the field of cultural heritage conservation. Registration is open and participation is free, however the number of places is limited. Presentations and discussions will be held in English and Italian.

Asian Academy for Heritage Management New Website of the Asian Academy for Heritage Management

The Asian Academy for Heritage Management (AAHM) is a network of institutions throughout Asia and the Pacific that offers professional training in the field of cultural heritage management. Under the guidance of UNESCO and ICCROM, AAHM promotes integrated, holistic and multi-disciplinary management of heritage resources, including both tangible and intangible expressions of culture.
