RE-ORG in action
25 April. From the 15 to the 26 April, ICCROM in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), India, are organizing a two-week workshop in Delhi in order to re-organize the documentation system of the Janapada Sampada ethnographic collection of the Centre. |

Destruction of Aleppo Minaret
25 April. The minaret of Aleppo's Umayyad Mosque, a World Heritage site dating to the 11th century, has been destroyed. ICCROM urges the cessation of the Syrian conflict and exhorts all sides to protect heritage. |

Floods in Argentina and Earthquakes in Iran
11 April. In response to the torrential storms in Buenos Aires and La Plata (Argentina) and the devastating earthquakes in Kaki and Sistan Baluchistan (Iran), the Director-General and staff of ICCROM extend deepest condolences to the governments and people of the affected areas. ICCROM is available to assist those institutions responsible for protecting cultural heritage within the affected areas.

International Training Course on Disaster Risk Management of Cultural Heritage (ITC 2013), Japan
9 April. The Cultural Heritage and Risk Management programme of the Research Center for Disaster Mitigation of Urban Heritage, Ritsumeikan University (Rits-DMUCH) is pleased to announce its 8th International Training Course on Disaster Risk Management of Cultural Heritage. It will be held in Kyoto, Kobe, and Tohoku, Japan from 7 to 21 September 2013. |
