Living Heritage Sites: Mekong River Project
This project covers Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Viet Nam, in partnership with SEAMEO-SPAFA (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization – Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts).
The 2008–9 Biennium is the concluding one for the Living Heritage Sites – Mekong River Project. It is proposed to organize an international meeting to present a community mobilization guide, share experiences with living heritage in other ICCROM programmes, and explore the possibilities of extending the concept of the ‘Living Heritage’ approach to other regions (particularly to Asia where there is a strong demand). This includes both research and training activities.
